Kano is a multi-media creative and local art handler, who primarily works with natural and repurposed materials. Drawing on the multicultural intersection of her Japanese ancestry and Maui-grown perspective, her work blends wafū 和風 elements with understandings of aloha ‘āina. Guided by the belief that art is the purest expression of the soul, she hopes to give form to foundational truths of the waking world while opening portals into the dreamy spirit realm.
